A newly launched Star Media Vision will be engaged in the production of TV series and films for TV and NMG’s digital resources, as well as for other customers.
NMG Studio, which invests on behalf of National Media Group (NMG) in content production, and Star Media announce the launch of a joint venture to be engaged in the production of films and TV series.
As a result of the deal, NMG Studio and Star Media will have a 50% share each in a newly founded company, Star Media Vision, that will be producing series and films for TV and digital resources of NMG (including the more.tv platform), as well as for other customers. The first productions of the joint venture will be released in 2020.
Star Media is one of the leaders in the production and distribution of feature films and TV series in the Russian market. Star Media has its own filming stages, equipment and post-production studios, which will allow NMG Studio to significantly increase its production capacity for creating content for NMG's assets.

NMG Studio was established by National Media Group in October 2018 to develop and enrich the Russian film market with world-class projects, as well as to expand NMG's presence in the film production segment. In 2019, the company closed a deal in acquisition of 50% of Art Pictures Studio. Its content production assets also include Vodorod Pictures, a producer of high-grossing feature films, KeyStone Production, Metrafilms, an animation films production company, Hype Agency dealing with blogging, and INDUSTRY Film and Television School, an educational project to train a new generation of professional personnel for the film industry.
